I Can’t Believe Some People Say This Is Gross. I Think It’s Absolutely Gorgeous.

I happened to be within shop a few weeks ago once I noticed a rather small, weak senior man browsing besides. He must”ve already been at least 90, maybe older. One minute later, several teenage women walking past were looking his direction and laughing. Happily, he didn”t see or hear all of them, and I can”t say for sure should they had been even mocking him… but it reminded myself of culture”s perception of the very senior. You hear it-all enough time: Ew. Gross. They smell. Disgusting.

So that”s what prompted me to do that post. I started searching for information on the elderly because many of us – God willing – would be here, if we aren”t currently. The thing I found is not extremely despondent, unfortunate individuals waiting on demise. I came across smiles and a lot of them, due to the book successful At hundred or so.

These 11 photographs each tv show someone at exactly 100 years old. We don”t know what you might think, but I see nothing “gross” about this. I see inspiration and beauty.

Photographer Karsten Thormaehlen photographed over 40 centenarians between 2006 and 2012. Whenever requested exactly what the secret is, unfortunately there was no magical typical response that will allow all of us to live to 100. But broadly speaking, it”s a attitude, a health diet, and a confident attitude. Although a minumum of one among these folks cited “a periodic cup of whiskey” also. Not too yes about that one though. :)
